Chad Betts................................Program Manager
Chad grew up in Newaygo, Michigan. He has always been drawn to the Muskegon River and since his early teens he has spent most of his time on the river because of it's gravel riffles and outstanding fishing. While working in a small bait shop near the Croton Dam, Chad found his calling as a fishing guide. His hunger for knowledge would drive him to graduate from the University of Michigan with a Fisheries Biology degree in 2000.
For the past 20 plus years Chad has been committed to being the most knowledgeable float fishing guide on the Muskegon, Pere Marquette and White rivers. He is passionate about guiding for Steelhead, Trout and Salmon. Chad spends over 300 days a year on the water guiding clients and scouting for new locations. His technical skills give him the ability to build his own boats and develop equipment with many manufacturers.
